"The unfolding of Essence becomes the process of living.  Life is no longer a string of disconnected experiences of pleasure and pain but a flow, a stream of aliveness."  ~A.H. Almaas

The Enneagram and the Inner Critic

"Inner freedom is not guided by our efforts; it comes from seeing what is true."  ~The Buddha

Based on the Riso-Hudson workshop of the same title, Prudence Tippins guides you through the psychic structures of each of the Enneagram Types.

Everyone has an "inner critic," or a super-ego that affirms us for doing or thinking things it approves of and berates us for doing or imagining things it doesn't.  The rules of the inner critic are different for each Type, so while a Type One might get psychic rewards for "being good," a Type Eight gets rewarded for "being strong." Understanding the internal psychic structure of each Type can create empathy (for we all go to each Type at times) and compassion.  This workshop is quite useful for those in the helping professions, but the information is also important for personal growth work.

Participants will find the workshop most useful if they already have a basic understanding of the Enneagram: the Types, the Wings, and the Directions of Integration and Disintegration.  A private session can be arranged to ground a potential participant in this information, if necessary.

This is a one-day workshop.  A raw, vegan lunch will be provided.
