Workshops & Retreats » Introduction to the Enneagram
"The ultimate gift of conscious life is a sense of the mystery that encompasses it." ~Lewis Mumford
The Enneagram is a tool for spiritual growth that helps each of us identify exactly how we hold ourselves back from our full potential. In shorthand, the Enneagram is a "personality typing system," but that label tends to make people think we're sorting people into various psychological boxes.
Instead, studying the Enneagram is a way to see yourself in a new way, discovering your true nature and potential while also seeing the habits of mind and action that hold you apart from all that you are.
Studying the Enneagram benefits you on your own path of personal growth, and it also helps you better understand the ways others hold themselves back from their own best selves. Compassion inevitably grows from such understanding, and your facility in interacting with others naturally increases as a result.
This workshop provides an introduction to the Nine Types, including the Virtue and the Passion of each type, offering participants help in determining which of those best describe them. We will also delve into Levels of Development and the Directions of Integration and Disintegration for a more complete picture of each type.
This course is facilitated by Prudence Tippins and David Banner.
